PTFE is valued for its broad chemical resistance and clean, non-staining characteristics. Filled, restructured and expanded PTFE gasket materials are used to improve sealing behavior and reduce the creep or cold-flow limitations associated with conventional skived PTFE. The right grade depends on chemical compatibility, flange design, pressure, temperature and purity requirements.
Selection note: Final gasket/seal material should be confirmed against media, operating temperature, pressure, flange condition, bolt load and applicable standard.
