Kammprofile gaskets use a machined, concentrically serrated metal core with soft facing layers such as graphite or PTFE. The rigid core provides stability while the facing conforms to flange surface imperfections. They are particularly useful where good recovery, controlled seating stress and resistance to thermal cycling are important.
Selection note: Final gasket/seal material should be confirmed against media, operating temperature, pressure, flange condition, bolt load and applicable standard.
