Compressed non-asbestos fibre (CNAF) gasket sheets typically combine aramid or other reinforcing fibres with elastomeric binders and fillers. They are widely used for general industrial flange service. Flexible graphite gaskets are selected where higher-temperature capability, conformability and chemical resistance are required. Material grade must always be matched to the actual fluid, pressure and temperature.
